UPWARD BASKETBALL
We are thrilled to be hosting Upward Basketball for the upcoming season! Upward Basketball's mission is to leverage the game of basketball as a means to display the love of Jesus. The goal is for all Upward players to grow mentally, athletically, spiritually, and socially.

IMPORTANT DATES FOR THE 2025 SEASON:
Registration: September 1, 2024 at 3:00 PM
Evaluation: September 28, 2024
First week of practices: January 2, 2025
First week of games: January 24 & 25, 2025
Mid-Season Celebration: February 19, 2025
5th – 6th Grade Tournament: March 16-18, 2025
Every athlete will have a one hour practice for 11 weeks and one hour game for 8 weeks. Therefore, players will have 4 weeks of practice before games begin.
DIVISIONS: Our league is open for all boys and girls who will be in 1st-6th grade during the ’24-’25 school year.
1st-2nd Boys Basketball:
Hoop height: 8 foot Court Length: Half court Required Defense: man-to-man
1st-2nd Girls Basketball:
Hoop height: 8 foot Court Length: Half court Required Defense: man-to-man
3rd-4th Boys Basketball:
Hoop height: 9 foot Court Length: Full court Required Defense: man-to-man
3rd-4th Girls Basketball:
Hoop height: 9 foot Court Length: Full court Required Defense: man-to-man
5th-6th Boys Basketball:
Hoop height: 10 foot Court Length: Full court Required Defense: none
5th-6th Girls Basketball:
Hoop height: 10 foot Court Length: Full court Required Defense: none
All of the leagues above use 28.5” size basketballs which are provided at all practices and games so bringing your own basketball is not recommended as it can easily get lost.
