Treat Street 2024

All volunteers are invited to attend a Treat Street volunteer lunch meeting following the third service on October 27 in the Family Life Center (FLC). The lunch meeting will start at approximately 1:00 pm.

Candy Stop (The WOW of Treat Street)

What would I do? Engage with our guests by handing out candy as they pass by your themed candy stop. You will work with our creative team to set up your Candy Stop prior to Treat Street & tear down your Candy Stop after.

Who would enjoy this role? Friendly, warm, inviting, creative groups (2-10 people ideal).

Why is this role important? Your enthusiastic interaction with our guest is a fun way to display the light and love of Jesus to be our community!

Day of expectations? Your Candy Stop needs to be up and ready before 4:30 pm on October 31. Set up can begin starting Sunday, October 27 (following a Treat Street volunteer lunch meeting). Your group will need to present from 5:00-8:00 pm on October 31 and then stay for tear down.

Entertainer

What would I do? Engage with our guests in the lobby by providing entertainment as they enter Treat Street and while they wait in line (which often tends to back up). You can showcase your unique skills or talents - such as juggling, card tricks, or breakdancing - or we can provide you with entertaining materials like a list of jokes or riddles, to share with guests.

Who would enjoy this role? This role is perfect for individuals who possess a special skill or talent, enjoy being in the spotlight, and are friendly and enthusiastic. If you love interacting with people and making them smile, this is the opportunity for you!

Why is this role important? The lobby is our first chance to interact with guests, and those in this role create the initial impression of Treat Street. Your presence and energy are key to setting a positive tone for the event.

Day of expectations? Please arrive and be ready to being your role in the lobby by 5:00 pm on October 31. You will be entertaining guests from 5:30-7:30 pm. Additionally we invite you to attend a Treat Street volunteer lunch meeting at 1:00 pm (following the third service) on October 27.

Parking Lot Guides

What would I do? You will meet guests once they park to help walk them from their car to the start of the Treat Street experience. While walking with our guests, you will have a chance to make their first impression personal by previewing the evening and answering any questions they might have.

Who would enjoy this role? You don’t have be an extrovert to do this role well. In fact, it might be introverts who can anticipate better what guests might be thinking and feeling. A desire to help those new to an event at a church (where some may feel uncomfortable) makes for the perfect volunteer in this role.

Why is this role important? Treat Street has a lot of energy and excitement, but with that - also a lot of potential confusion for our guests. This role’s purpose is to cut through and eliminate much of that.

Day of expectations? We ask that you be in the parking lot ready to greet by 5:00 pm.

Parking Team

What would I do? Safely, efficiently and clearly help our guests park as close to the Treat Street entrance as possible. This role provides the opportunity to set a welcoming tone for our guests as they join us for an evening full of fun and fellowship.

Who would enjoy this role? Those who like fast-paced teamwork and a clearly defined task.

Why is this role important? This team sets the stage for the entire guest experience. You have the chance to demonstrate how excellent the entire evening will be for our guests.

Day of expectations? Please be at Forum by 5:00 pm on October 31. This is one of the first roles to finish for the evening as the full parking crew doesn’t need to stay until the event ends.

Set Up (Oct. 27-31)

What would I do? Anything from decorating to moving tables and chairs.

Who would enjoy this role? Everyone! If you are willing to serve, we have a task for you!

Why is this role important? This is our biggest event, and many hands make light work!

Time expectations? Flexible times October 27-31. Many of the tasks need to be done on Sunday afternoon, October 27.

Clean Up (Oct. 31 & Nov. 1)

What would I do? Assist with general clean up and getting the building ready for the Sunday Gathering.

Who would enjoy this role? Everyone! If you are willing to serve, we have a task for you!

Why is this role important? This role is very important! You bring energy and relieve groups serving during the event.
