MARRIAGE BUDGETING WORKSHOP
SAT, APR. 5 9:30-11:30 AM in Room 200
No more money fights! Work together to tackle your finances and turn a common marriage struggle into a strength.
We have a fun and informative morning planned for you and your spouse that is packed with lots of tools for the two of you to get on the same page and dream together!
A budget is simply a plan for your money. It’s about being intentional before the month begins about how you want to spend your money. It’s a tool to help you achieve your financial and life goals…TOGETHER!
This FREE workshop will teach you about:
- a zero-based budget
- how to use the envelope system (or tracking system) effectively to fit your lifestyle
- the basics of how to start, create and follow a budget
If you’ve never budgeted before, this is the workshop for you as you’ll be introduced to the basics as well as the heart of budgeting. If you’ve budgeted some, but finances are still a source of tension in your relationship, this is the workshop for you as you’ll be given tools and options to help fit your lifestyle. If you’ve been consistently budgeting, this is the workshop for you as it will be a reminder of the importance of what you’re doing and a place of encouragement to keep going! Brad and Kimberly Earnest merge professional guidance with personal experience and examples. They make it simple, relatable, and add in humor to keep the vibe upbeat and chill.
No childcare available
The last day to sign up is Thursday, April 3.
STATE PENITENTIARY TOUR
SAT, JUN 7 1:00-7:00 PM Jefferson City, MO
Spend some time discovering and learning with your spouse this summer as we head to Jefferson City for a two hour history tour of the former Missouri State Penitentiary. Step back in time and discover the intriguing history of the infamous Missouri State Penitentiary including stories of escape attempts, riots, dangerous inmates, and more. After the tour concludes, we will head to Prison Brews for an early dinner. Due to the size of our group, we will be ordering off Prison Brews’ speedy menu. Hopefully we will finish in enough time to pop over to Central Dairy for ice cream before heading home. Since we are a large group, Central Dairy limits the group to small cones or cups to make it feasible. It will be helpful for you to know what you want ahead of time. If everything goes as planned, we hope to be back at Forum by 7:00 PM.
Tour tickets are $30 per person, so $60 per couple.
Dinner is $16 a person and includes a drink.
Spots are limited to only 25 couples.
Bring money for Central Dairy.
To get the full experience, we encourage you to ride with the group. We will leave and return from the Forum Christian Church parking lot.
No child care available.
FLOAT TRIP
SAT, JULY 26 6:30 AM - 9:30 PM Huzzah Valley Resort (970 E, 970 MO-8, Steelville, MO 65565)
Date nights are great but know what’s better? Entire day dates! Get away this summer to spend a day on the river with your spouse and lots of other fun couples. We will meet at Forum Christian Church at 6:30AM and drive down together in buses and vans so that we can take advantage of the time to get to know each other on the way. We’ll try and beat the rush and get off a bit before 10AM and then we’ll then spend the next six hours floating down the river in rafts with four couples to a raft.
Throughout the float, we will pull off to shore to rest, play some games, swim and change up rafts. We’ll pack a lunch to eat on the river so bring a small cooler with drinks/food of your choice. After a long day out in the sun, we’re usually starving so after changing into dry clothes, we’ll all enjoy grabbing dinner together around 5:00 PM at a Mexican Restaurant called Los Arcos in Rolla. We should arrive home around 9:30PM or a bit before if all goes as planned.
Although the scenery is great and there’s lots of opportunity for fun, the connections made are maybe the best part. By the end of the day, you’ll have met so many great couples. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to relax and kick back with your spouse amongst an awesome community of couples.
Cost is $90 per couple for floating.
Last day to register is July 15.
No refunds, but you can find replacements for yourselves— just communicate with us those changes.
No child care.
Pack a lunch as well as a small cooler of drinks/snacks for you to have on the river. Bring a bag to leave on the bus with dry clothes to change into afterwards.
Bring money for dinner at Los Arcos. Couples will pay for their own meals.

NAVIGATE
THU, JAN. 8, 2026 in the Forum Lobby
“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a man who built his house on the rock.” -Jesus of Nazareth
2025 has come and gone— How did you and your spouse do with living a life that’s increasingly aligned with your values? That’s a tough (but fair) question. What changes do you want to make to take next steps towards aligning your schedule with your values? Are you the husband/wife you want to be, the one in which God desires you to be? What small steps is God inviting you to make in 2026 to grow you more into the likeness of his Son Jesus?
Without a plan of what we want to build - together - we are naturally swept along with the current of our cultural moment. Without pausing to consider who we want to become ten years from now and making small changes in our lives to promote growth, we’ll likely remain stagnant in who we are today. Come be a part of an intentional time for you and your spouse to dream together, pray for God’s guidance and start forming a plan, or Rule of Life, for 2026.
This would be a great event to invite your community or life group to. If someone from your community is able to join you, we encourage you to sit together, because community is great for providing accountability. We have found couples who share their Rule of Life with the people they “do life” with, experience more growth and fruit than those who do it in isolation.
FREE
Child care is $7 per child. Stay tuned for child care registration.
