Hi volunteer friends!

 We occasionally have a need for a responsible driver who is able and willing to give driving lessons.

Many people we help have grown up in difficult situations and did not receive get help getting a driver's license. The client you might help would be an adult who has a driving permit but needs someone like you to take them out in a Love Columbia car for practice.

If driving coaching is not of interest, but you would like to help with this, we also need people to drive candidates to the DMV in one of our Love Columbia vehicles and wait so they can take the driving test in the Love Columbia car. This could be a new driver, but often it is an experienced driver who doesn’t have a licensed vehicle of their own in which to take the test.

Obviously the qualifications for this are to have a heart for our clients, a valid Missouri Driver’s license without any outstanding points are tickets against it, be able to pass our background check including a Motor Vehicle check, and have the patience and skills to instruct a less experienced driver.
