ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING VOTING RESULTS

MONDAY, FEBRUARY 9

The elders have verified the final vote of the bylaw changes on Sunday, Feb. 8, 2026, to be 208 Yes Votes and 62 No Votes. This means that 270 votes were counted. A ¾ majority was required to pass, meaning 202.5 votes were required. With 208 Yes Votes (77%), the measure passed, and the new bylaws are now in effect. For the record, 30 Votes were not counted due to discrepancies with the membership roster or duplicate votes. The discrepancy votes totaled 22 Yes Votes and 8 No Votes. Even if these votes had counted, the measure would still have passed with a ¾ majority (230 Yes / 70 No = 300 Total Votes, Requiring 225 to Pass).

BYLAWS UPDATE

Over the last few months, our elders have been carefully working through your feedback on the proposed bylaws, and we want to offer a bit more clarity on three key areas: deacons, voting, and concerns about “drift.” In this video, you’ll hear the “why” behind the changes—why we’re shifting from the formal, elected title of deacon to the more biblical language of Ministry Servants and Ministry Leaders; why the proposed bylaws remove a congregational vote in calling a Lead Minister while strengthening the elder vetting and congregational affirmation process; and why these updates are not a move toward progressive theology, but an intentional effort to guard against drift by anchoring our governance more firmly in Scripture, clear doctrine, and higher leadership thresholds.
